When I was a teenager, I believed that celebrations such as “Father’s Day” or “Mother’s Day” had more to do with exaggerated marketing than factualism.
But, through time, I have realized that such occasions are necessary in one’s life, primarily to satisfy emotional needs, thank our loved ones and rejoice the existence of life.

The plant that I liked the most on the website was April's Bonsai – Plum, because “plum bonsai tree features fragrant white blooms and may bear miniature plums”. I thought this was really "cute"!!

Mohammed Babangida, in his blog tagged “Music of Africa and beyond” speaks of the influence of African music and its impact on the world.

Taking references of the American Civil War and how it influenced the arrival of African music, he points out that the songs unleashed a feeling of freedom in people, after the war. According to Linus, most world class Kenyan runners come from the Kalenjin tribe residing in Kenya’s western highlands. An electrical engineer from Tel Aviv in Israel, Amos arrived in the US in the early 80’s. Here, he had to start afresh and so began servicing taxicabs in a fleet garage in New York City.
